I thought I'd share this video to motivate anyone who hasn't been following the World Cup. This was filmed awhile back by Jim Dziura & Mike Brillantes during a shoot by Ben Watts for Treats! Barcelona GO! | Short Film by Rob Whitworth

This short film by Rob Whitworth is awesome! It was shot using only Nikon cameras and lenses.

BARCELONA in Flow-Motion - A fast moving short film.... In few other cities is it possible to walk from spectacular location to spectacular location. I had a fantastic time adventuring around Barcelona's winding streets making this film. I just stumbled upon this while browsing through reddit.

The Most Amazing Example of Multi-tasking . . . Ever.

Although this is my photography site, this post has absolutely nothing to do with photography. You may or may not know that I'm actually a professional musician by trade. I play drums and this guy has blown me away with his ability to multi-task. I play a lot of different styles of music, including afro-cuban stuff which definitely pushes the hand-foot coordination, but what he's doing is something different, not just putting things into place rhythmically, but also melodically while at the same time singing lyrics and not just a melody. It's impressive, very impressive. I'm definitely a fan of Paris Monster, this New York based drum and bass duo is pretty amazing. To see what I'm talking about check out the live performance of "Vision Complete."

It was an nightly adventure that took me to almost every angle of Los Angeles. It was an exercise in patience. A lesson in light. An understanding of what it is to live amongst each other and to understand the system and order of a city, the seemingly complex organics that make it up and the life form that the city truly is. A visualization of sonder. It was a daily jaunt to watch the arterial freeway systems pump car cells through its body and channel them to the capillaric avenues that are our neighborhoods and homes. It was a chance to break away from the 70mph freeway perspective and to observe the sun slip from view and watch the electric dance of nightfall begin. It was challenging. It was frustrating. Definitely dangerous at times. Sometimes it hurt. I was chased. Yelled at. Warned. But the overall context of things learned, people met, things seen, and places discovered over the past three years shaped who I am today. I didn't always love Los Angeles but I learned to and discovered that this city is much more than temperate weather, palm trees, pretty girls, and beaches; to me the true beauty behind the city lies hidden on the other end of a rusted fire escape to a view no one else has seen. I'm looking forward to the next chapter of my film making career where I will be concentrating on narrative and documentary films. Thanks for watching, reading, and supporting my films. The Day Wonderland Stood Still

This is a beautiful time lapse video by Bruce Berry that uses a fairly simple technique to remove all the cars and people. I first saw this on the F-Stoppers site and now it's a Vimeo Staff Pick, definitely worth sharing.

This time-lapse was inspired by the “Empty America Series” by Ross Ching and the Nibiran jungle scene in Star Trek Into Darkness. When I first saw the scene in Star Trek, it made me wonder how color infrared would look if we could see it with our own eyes, unaided by IR filters. After seeing the movie and watching Ross’s series I thought about how a totally empty city (such as Philadelphia) would look in Kodak EIR style infrared. Hope you all enjoy and thanks for viewing! Addition Info: All scenes were shot around Philadelphia using my full-spectrum digital camera and a yellow filter. A full spectrum camera is a camera that has had it's IR blocking filter removed, allowing the camera to see into the infrared. The yellow filter blocks all visible light up to yellow and allows infrared to pass through. The first scene and time-lapse title was prompted by an infrared series that I’ve been shooting over the years called “Wonderland”. Photographer Spotlight - Charles Lucima

Charles Lucima has been in my Photographer Spotlight since I first started shooting models. I think I first stumbled upon his work on Model Mayhem and he was one of the few photographers on that site that actually had truly professional work in his portfolio. There are a lot of photographers on there that list themselves as "very experienced" but don't have the work to back up that statement, Charles is not one of them. His work is always shot beautifully and elegantly, everything he shoots really is a work of art. He works with amazing models and captures them in just the right way. I would love to just be on location with him when he's shooting because I know I would learn a lot.

You can check out some of his work below as well as a recent video shot my Chris Vongsawat during a shoot Charles was doing with model Kate Compton for Treats! Magazine. The video looks great, but I'm really not a fan of the music selection.

My Model Wish List - Minka Kelly

It's 1:05AM and I'm currently in Santa Monica, CA trying to get some sleep because I have a long day of shooting in downtown LA tomorrow for Arsenic Magazine. Due to the extremely loud shitty trance music that's blasting through the walls right now, I don't think I'll be sleeping anytime soon so I thought I'd add a new addition to My Model Wish List since it's been over 2 weeks since my post about Emmanuella Chriqui. The beautiful Minka Kelly is on my radar right now. Yu Tsai shot her for Esquire Magazine's "Sexiest Woman Alive" in 2010 and 3 years later she's still pretty damn sexy.

Brian Lima is a good friend of mine and one of the photographers whose work first inspired me to really start pursuing photography. I met Brian sometime around 2003 in San Diego when he was photographing my band, he's now based out of Rhode Island. He has a great repertoire of work ranging from amazing concert photography to beautiful landscape images of New Zealand and incredible shots of the Dalai Lama during a once in a lifetime opportunity to follow him around during his most recent visit to the US. His music portfolio includes awesome shots of Bjork, Iggy Pop, U2, Coldplay, Jane's Addiction, Greg Laswell, Radiohead, and so many other great bands and musicians. I hope to one day be half the photographer Brian is. He is also one of the primary reasons I shoot on Nikon cameras, you tend to mimic your inspirations and I've been a big fan of Nikon gear ever since.

My Model Wish List - Emily Ratajkowski

Bryan Adams is more than a musician

Awhile back I was talking to my good friend Brian Lima, who is also an amazing photographer, about whose work he follows. To my surprise he told me Bryan Adams was one of his favorite photographers, to which my response was "Bryan Adams, the musician?" Turns out Bryan Adams is an extremely well established fashion/portrait photographer and a lot of people don't realize it. He's had a very successful career in music, but even without his music income he'd be pretty busy as a working photographer. He's worked on campaigns and has been published in a lot of popular magazines. The Pixel Painter

One of the guys I work with at 3Dar in Argentina just sent this video in an e-mail, I thought it was pretty cool:

Hal Lasko, better known as Grandpa, worked as a graphic artist back when everything was done by hand. His family introduced him to the computer and Microsoft Paint long after he retired.

Now, Grandpa spends ten hours a day moving pixels around his computer paintings. His work is a blend of pointillism and 8-Bit art.
