Julia Skalozub is a Czech photographer that has shot for numerous publications worldwide, most notably Playboy, Volo and FotoVideo. I first saw her work on the photography portfolio website 500.px and was really into it. I would love to be able shoot at her level and work with the magazines she produces content for on a regular basis.

Arsenic Magazine
I finally have a bit of free time to go through images from my most recent photo shoot with Arsenic Magazine which took place on January 2, 2014 in Los Angeles, CA. I'll post more shots later.
Story Behind the World's Most Viewed Image
The image titled "Bliss" is one of the most viewed images in the world since it was chosen to be the default wallpaper when Microsoft launched Windows XP. This is the cool story behind the photo and Charles O'Rear, the photographer who captured the image.
Juggling With the Moon
I was just browsing through some old photos and saw this one from last year.
Crescent Moon Over California
I was just going through some old photos that I had taken during a camping trip two summers ago with my buddy Jozias and stumbled upon this shot which I took while driving around Big Bear. We were camping up in the San Gorgonio Wilderness for a few days and then spent a a night or two in Big Bear.
The Next Evolution in Simulation Games
I don't know why I'm posting this, maybe because it's pretty ridiculous. This is the next evolution in role playing game simulators. You started off with flight simulators and then other vehicle simulation games and now this . . . Goat Simulator. The next generation of gaming . . .
Famous Cities and Landmarks Seen From Above
I saw these images somewhere the other day and wanted to repost them here.
From the Archives - Eufrat
I was just browsing through some old photos, this is a shot of czech model Jana Potyšová, better known by her porn name Eufrat. She was the second model I ever shot and have since shot with her numerous times. She's a great model, an extremely cool girl and an awesome friend.
My Model Wish List - Constance Jablonski
The latest addition to My Model Wish List is French model Constance Jablonski. Since starting her modeling career in 2006 she's done campaigns for Victoria's Secret, Estée Lauder, Ralph Lauren, Fendi, Dolce & Gabbana, H&M, Gap, Calvin Klein, Barney's, Nine West, and many more major fashion brands. She's also been featured in Vogue, Harper's Bazaar, Marie Claire, Vanity Fair, V, and Revue de Modes.
Walking Contest
This is a cool video I saw on Facebook yesterday and wanted to repost it. It was directed by Vania Heymann and written/starring Daniel Koren.
Sailing the Pacific
Another archived shot from Point Loma looking off the coast of San Diego with one of the Coronado Islands in the background. This is the same sailboat that was in one of my previous posts.
A Day in San Diego
These are some old photos I just dug up from a few years ago, they were all shot using my Nikon D5000 and taken from Point Loma in San Diego and might give you a different perspective of the city than one you typically see in photos.
Sailing
Here's another old shot from the archives. This was also taken with my old Nikon D5000. I saw these sailboats and took this shot from the end of Point Loma (San Diego, CA) overlooking the Pacific Ocean just before sunset.
Dug Up Some Old Photos
I was just digging through an old external drive and found a few old photos I had taken with my Nikon D5000 a few years ago. These shots were taken from Point Loma facing toward downtown San Diego and Coronado. Seeing the mountains in the background would make you think it was a different part of the country.
Hoverboard 25 Years Later
25 years after the release of Back to the Future II the hoverboard is finally a reality, well not really . . . I was hoping this video was real, but after doing a bit more research I discovered it wasn't. One day . . . I wish HUVr was an actual company, but it turns out this is some sort of Funny or Die gimmick. Having Tony Hawk and Chrisopher Lloyd (Doc Brown from the Back to the Future movies) present the product made it seem even more convincing.
Shooting Italia for William Painter
Here's one of the shots from the William Painter shoot I did earlier today with Italia Faith.
A Look Back . . . Uruguay
Back in September of 2007 I spent about a week in Buenos Aires, Argentina meeting with my friends at 3Dar to discuss future projects. While I was there I wanted to take a trip across the Rio de la Plata to visit the town of Colonia de Sacramento in Uruguay. After a long night hanging out with my new female friends (I ended up traveling with them for a month 3 months after this trip) at an Irish Pub called Kilkenny, I boarded the Buque Bus and headed across the river. Here are a few shots from the trip:
The Most Amazing Example of Multi-tasking . . . Ever.
Although this is my photography site, this post has absolutely nothing to do with photography. You may or may not know that I'm actually a professional musician by trade. I play drums and this guy has blown me away with his ability to multi-task. I play a lot of different styles of music, including afro-cuban stuff which definitely pushes the hand-foot coordination, but what he's doing is something different, not just putting things into place rhythmically, but also melodically while at the same time singing lyrics and not just a melody. It's impressive, very impressive. I'm definitely a fan of Paris Monster, this New York based drum and bass duo is pretty amazing. To see what I'm talking about check out the live performance of "Vision Complete."
